Who We Are

Love what you do and make a difference in people’s lives at CompHealth, a division of CHG Healthcare in Salt Lake City, UT. Join a fast-paced and rewarding environment at CompHealth, where we are known for our unique employee-centric culture, strong core values and providing outstanding customer service.

The CompHealth division is looking for a report developing guru who not only fits CHG’s Putting People First culture, but can also visualize business metrics and communicate valuable analytic insights to our leaders and executives. Although the majority of work will be done in Tableau, we’re looking for someone who will leverage and design additional platforms to keep up with our growing business and the data that comes along with it. This person must also demonstrate a working knowledge of dashboard tools, have a strong eye for design and value their own continuous improvement. At the end of the day, the ideal candidate will combine all of this — plus their undeniable business sense and technical know-how — with the quality, integrity and ethics that make up our amazing culture.

How You'll Contribute

  • Responsible for implementing the Business Intelligence strategy defined by the company

  • Solve complex technical problems across a variety of domains with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solicit business requirements and translate them into scalable, sustainable, and efficient reports
  • Identify and implement new features in existing reporting

  • Promote and drive adoption of Business Intelligence reports and tools
  • Work with leadership, data warehouse ETL engineers, project managers, and business analysts to understand and prioritize information requirements for delivery in an agile environment
  • Liaise with technical teams and vendors to ensure the BI environment is supported
  • Assist in monitoring completeness of data, debugging existing reports, and report documentation
  • Facilitate and participate in data validation and user acceptance testing
  • Train new and current Business Intelligence consumers to use Tableau and other offerings
  • Research current and emerging Business Intelligence technologies in support of reporting needs

What You'll Bring

  • Good analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills to evaluate business scenarios
  • A passion for learning, innovation, and solving tough problems with a team’s support
  • Demonstrated experience (professional or otherwise) with relational databases, data-driven reporting tools, and creating scalable solutions
  • Experience or certification in Tableau is preferred
  • Advanced Excel development skills (named values, volatile functions, array formulas, PowerPivot, PowerQuery) are a plus
  • An eye for effective and concise visual communication
  • Very strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a knack for clearly conveying difficult concepts to both technical and non-technical partners

  • Ability to collaborate on a team with infrastructure, BI report development, and analyst resources
  • Comfortable in a fast paced development environment
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects with changing priorities and due dates
  • 1-3 years’ experience performing data analysis and building Business Intelligence solutions
  • 1-3 years’ experience developing reporting and BI tools (Tableau and PowerPivot preferred)
  • Experience (professional or otherwise) in any of the following is preferred but not required: SQL (T-SQL is a plus), object-oriented programming and/or design (JavaScript, Python, R, VB/VBA, etc.), web development (HTML, CSS, PHP), UX and interaction design, graphic design (Illustrator, Photoshop)
