The vision of the Infrastructure team is to ensure uninterrupted service for CHG Healthcare systems and applications. This position designs, implements, administers and automates the IT Database environments at CHG. This includes but is not limited to provisioning, monitoring and administration of all database environments. In addition, the position will provide technical guidance, research and implementation of new technologies, while having primary responsibility over the maintenance and improvement of existing databases.

How You'll Contribute

  • Provide technical leadership in the administration, improvement, automation, and maintenance of enterprise hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Develop enterprise infrastructure standards for internal, cloud, and integrated deployments
  • Maintain, patch, and implement database infrastructure.
  • Participate in definition of enterprise security policies and their implementation.
  • Provide technical mentorship to other team members, with a positive attitude.
  • Require to work some weekends, evenings, and participate with On-Call rotation.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • Ability to work effectively with other team members and that IT collaborates with (e.g. Project Management, Business Analysts, Support Services, etc.).
  • Ability to mentor, receive feedback, and collaborate with peers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and internal partners.
  • Ability to see how the immediate, smaller project fits into a much larger and long-term project and strategic direction.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet project time lines.
  • Advanced knowledge MSSQL Databases
  • Advanced knowledge in configuration, tuning, and industry standards of MSSQL Database management and deployment automation.
  • Advanced understanding of Linux and Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Advanced understanding of replication, clustering and backup/restore
  • Advanced understanding of Cloud Database offerings
  • Knowledge of Postgres, Aurora, Redis etc.
  • Must have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to communicate technical architectures, designs, and solutions clearly to management and team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as working on project teams.
  • Ability to investigate, architect, configure new technologies, and apply them in solving business requirements.
  • Ability to analyze business partners’ requirements, design and implement solutions to meet those requirements.


Experience and Education:

  • BS degree in technical field or equivalent work experience designing, supporting, and implementing enterprise infrastructure.
  • 2-5 years of increasing experience and knowledge in the installation, configuration, design, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of enterprise databases.
