CHG HealthCare is a leader in the HealthCare Staffing Industry. We are looking for dedicated senior software engineers who want to work for one of “Utah’s Most Admired Companies”. This position will provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, on strategic decisions and architectural methodologies. The Enterprise Architect will gain organizational commitment to the strategic technology roadmap and initiate and participate in transformation initiatives to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans. We are looking for leaders who will roll up their sleeves and get the job done.

How You'll Contribute

  • Ensure that technology planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company’s overall strategic roadmap
  • Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines in accordance with the strategic roadmap.
  • Develops strategy of system and design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.
  • Provides high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff.
  • Advises on the selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, state storage, data access, security and application development.
  • Advises on feasibility of potential future projects to management.
  • Monitors and reviews the success of system and ensures efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recommends future technologies that will help in the improvement of business in the organization.
  • Ensure that architecture and application design accounts for the needs of development, operations, security and business needs.
  • Works with technical leads to develop and maintain “Best Practices” policies and procedures for application technical implementation
  • Performs initial design, problem solving and reviews of software architecture that conforms with the strategic direction of CHG.
  • Performs analysis oversight during detailed design of systems.
  • Lead Technical Leads through coaching, mentoring and delegating to facilitate their development.
  • Coordinates cross-functional IT teams to resolve issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

What You'll Bring

  • Exposure to multiple, diverse business systems, technologies, and processing environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
  • Ability to translate technology and innovation opportunities into strategic requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural principles and policies.
  • Knowledge of cloud and on-premise architecture best practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in SOA and microservice-based architectures
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Practice and SCRUM Methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience with application pillar technologies, methodologies and best practices in applications architecture including JDBC, Java, AngularJS, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, SQL syntaxes and others.
  • Knowledge and experience with DevOps, continuous deployment, continuous integration practices and methodologies.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.

 

Experience Requirements:

  • 15+ years of hands-on design and implementation of business solutions supported by IT

 

Preferred:

  • Agile / SCRUM certification strongly preferred.
