The Training Specialist will serve as a learning facilitator in the delivery of consulting skills, employee development and team building activities utilizing classroom training, group discussions, computer based training, supported self-study, and team development processes. The position requires working with Sr. L&D Specialists and/or Managers to assess and analyze individual and team performance, practices, and behaviors in order to develop appropriate learning to improve overall effectiveness. The individual will work with others to develop and present curriculum. Where appropriate the individual will evaluate training participants and provide feedback to managers.  They will also provide help as a backup trainer/facilitator for other classes offered by the CHG Learning & Development team.  Adheres to company, division, and department vision, mission, and values.

How You'll Contribute

  • Work with employees and leaders to improve CHG employees’ job skills, communication, organization and other performance skills and concepts
  • Contribute to course development and improvements with input from other team members
  • Assist with needs analysis with leaders, employees, and other learning and development professionals
  • Collects learning and development evaluation data including basic experience and learning
  • Help L&D program leaders in the development and delivery of curriculum for new and existing employees and leaders
  • Present training based on prepared course outlines and facilitate other learning interventions for employees, leaders, and teams
  • Act as a back-up trainer/facilitator for other classes and interventions


What You'll Bring

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced and professional classroom and instructional presence
  • Understands basic facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Self-starter with the willingness and ability to learn new skills and information
  • Proven success with utilizing feedback and direction to modify goals and projects to better meet customer needs
  • Able to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Comfortable and confident using multiple systems (including Microsoft Office Suite, eLearning, etc.)
  • Works well both independently and in a team environment
  • Up to 25% travel
  • Willing to work extended hours when needed
  • Professional learning and development experience in sales, leadership, technical or a combination  OR 1 – 2 years of successful management experience, sales or other, including team training
  • Industry knowledge is preferred
  • Experience within an inside/telephone sales environment preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or like experience
