CHG's divisional communications team connects our people to their divisions, as well as CHG’s award-winning culture. This high-performance team is responsible for supporting divisional and company initiatives, while helping our people recognize the difference they make every day.

The divisional communication manager in our South Florida office will support the dynamic Florida-based divisional communications team, as well as our East Coast divisions, while staying closely connected to CHG's communications leadership in Salt Lake City. This position reports to the senior manager of divisional communications. This person is part of our 13-person communications team.

How You'll Contribute

  • Works closely with our SLC-based communications leadership team to define goals, strategies, and tactics
  • Fosters information sharing and communications best practices across our East Coast divisions
  • Leads the Florida internal communications team, providing strategic planning support, as well as development and learning opportunities
  • Collaborates across CHG’s communications team on integrated communications campaigns
  • Cultivates an environment of open and transparent communications that support our core values of Putting People First, Integrity and Ethics, Quality and Professionalism, Continuous Improvement, and Growth
  • Drives overall strategy for internal communications, including helping craft the story of our vision and strategy and determining where and how we tell that story, within CHG and our divisions
  • Audits the effectiveness of our communication efforts
  • Manages a strong team of communications professionals to achieve our employee engagement goals
  • Finds unique and creative ways to inform, educate, and inspire employees at CHG and within our divisions
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to our division leaders for strategic communication planning
  • Leverages traditional, digital, and social internal communications tactics to achieve communications goals across internal channels and sites
  • Thinks creatively to test new communications initiatives and channels

What You'll Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or journalism is preferred, though other degrees may be considered
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of internal communications or related experience
  • 2+ years leading people and/or teams
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work effectively with corporate communications and other CHG teams
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven ability to think broadly and strategically, connecting communications work to company objectives
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • A team player and self-starter with proven ability to build internal communications strategies and execute the work

Preferred Skills

 

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of WordPress
  • Experience using video for communications
  • Experience with HR, business, and change management communications to employee audiences
