The main focus of this position is to serve as a program leader, trainer, facilitator, and coach in the identification, development, and delivery of results focused interventions to support division leaders in achieving their operational and cultural objectives. This requires the assessment and analysis of individual and team performance, practices, and behaviors in order to develop appropriate needs based plans and interventions to improve overall leadership effectiveness. The individual will also be responsible to effectively lead a L&D program which includes the development and presentation of leadership curriculum and the creation of all supporting documents needed to measure targeted improvements. Where appropriate, the individual will evaluate and provide feedback to leaders. They will also provide help as a backup leadership trainer/facilitator for other classes offered by the CHG Training & Development team.

How You'll Contribute

  • Provide L&D consultative services to division and team leaders and employees.
  • Serve as the primary L&D point of contact for assigned division and teams.
  • Work with Weatherby leaders to assess and analyze individual and team performance, practices, and behaviors in order to develop appropriate interventions to improve overall effectiveness.
  • Lead assigned training and development program in the identification, development, implementation, and evaluation of needs based interventions targeted at improving individual and organizational performance.
  • Where appropriate, create and implement participant evaluation tools.
  • Act as a back-up trainer/facilitator for other interventions, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

 

What You'll Bring

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professional classroom and instructional presence
  • Demonstrated history of successful sales or consulting experience OR of successful sales or leadership training experience
  • Proven ability to build relationships with leaders wherein the leaders seek your advice and trust your judgment
  • Self-starter with the willingness and ability to learn new skills and information
  • Able to plan and implement short and long-term goals
  • Proven success with utilizing feedback and direction to modify goals and projects to better meet partner needs
  • Able to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Demonstrated competency in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Up to 25% travel

 

Education and Years of Experience:

  • 3-5 years professional training and development experience in sales, leadership, technical or a combination OR 3-5 years of successful sales leader or leadership experience, including team training.
  • 3+ years sales leadership experience

 

Preferred:

  • Previous sales training experience preferred
  • Experience within an inside/telephone sales environment preferred
