How You'll Contribute

  • Work closely with the QA Manager to maintain and improve test automation standards and automation framework.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts to validate the system at various phases of the software development lifecycle (e.g., integration test suite, regression test suite, smoke test suite, etc.).
  • Work collaboratively with quality assurance, software development, and product management to ensure the creation of quality products that meet customer needs.
  • Run test automation builds, analyze results, and report issues found.
  • Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
  • Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.
  • Analyzes and writes automation test standards and procedures.
  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
  • Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
  • Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
  • Executes test scripts manually, based on specifications

 

What You'll Bring

  • Solid knowledge of software development life cycle.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL including selects and joins.
  • Experience with a testing framework (e.g., Selenium, REST-based APIs and services, etc).
  • Experience with writing and managing test cases in a test case management tool (e.g., TestRail, Jira).
  • Experience with build management tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, etc.).
  • Experience with DevOps integration (Continuous Integration), release and build management.
  • Experience with Agile software development practices and working closely with developers as a team.
  • Familiar with acceptance test driven development methodology.
  • Familiar with version control/configuration management systems and defect tracking software.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple concurrent efforts, and quickly change priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; including the ability to effectively convey issues and alternatives.
  • Strong problem solving and excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, but able to grasp the big picture.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to getting the job done.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, patient, and flexible, comfortable in a changing environment.
  • Self-starter with the strong ability to manage multiple tasks and project milestones is required.
  • Takes initiative, works well unsupervised, and drives projects to completion.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively as a team player.

 

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • 5+ years testing methodology and tool experience
  • 2+ years’ experience with database and SQL
  • College degree preferred
