This position leads the company’s employee relations function and provides consultative support on a broad spectrum of human resources activities such as employment, benefits, labor relations, compensation, training and employee services.

How You'll Contribute

  • Leads a team of consultants in multiple locations responsible for delivering core employee relations services. This includes:
  • Resolving employee legal issues and complaints
  • Managing the exit interview process and utilizing the data to determine reasons behind regrettable voluntary exits and recommend solutions for improvement
  • Coaching and consulting with leaders on employee practices necessary to maintain a positive employment relationship and promote a high level of employee engagement and commitment
  • Training company leadership to increase understanding and knowledge in employee law and compliance
  • Making recommendations for improvement of company policies, procedures and practices
  • Managing wage and other compensation claims arising
  • Develops, coordinates, and communicates company policies and procedures on people matters. Provides strategic thought leadership, education and tools to all levels of employees on the application of these guidelines
  • Coaches and supports business leaders in developing high performance teams, building talent bench, and promoting a high level of employee engagement and commitment
  • Enhances organizational learning and development by facilitating group discussions on various topics such as leadership development, change management, business transformation and restructuring and performance management
  • Partners with the people analytics function to conducts trend analysis and reporting activities to identify opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Executes on initiatives and projects, in partnership with business and TM leadership teams
  • Ensures the company remains complaint in all state and federal laws including Equal Employment Opportunity, Department of Labor, FMLA, and affirmative action regulations
  • Leads the company ethics committee in the investigation and resolution of possible ethics violations reported
  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in HR processes and policies, external best practices and legal compliance
  • Experience identifying and addressing complex performance management and other employee relations issues
  • Travel may be required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive HR generalist or HR consulting experience
  • 4 to 5 years of experience at the Senior HR Manager/Director level
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
