This position is responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining CHG’s digital customer experiences. This role will work with a team of developers to build, test, QA and launch web properties, landing pages and applications to help grow our business. This role will collaborate and partner with CHG product teams to build great tools and experiences for our customers.

We’re looking for people who

  • Use TDD to build customer experience tools in an agile development environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members for requirements, education, troubleshooting.
  • Stay up to speed on current and emerging web technologies.

Your role

  • Knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript libraries and frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular). Vue.js a huge plus.
  • Experience developing with unit testing using Jasmine.
  • ES6 JavaScript experience.
  • Node development a plus.
  • Know the difference between object oriented and functional programming.
  • Knowledge of modern front-end design patterns – MVVM, flux, atomic.
  • Production experience with current front-end technologies – HTML, CSS, CSS pre-processors (SASS and/or LESS).
  • Experience with task runners (Gulp, Grunt) and module bundlers such as Webpack.
  • Strong understanding of GIT and working with pull request process in an open source environment.
  • Comfortable working with media queries and mobile first responsive experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure while still meeting deadlines and objectives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and professional team player.
  • Strong ability to think strategically as well as creatively.
  • Self-starter with emphasis on prioritization of duties and organization.
  • Manage time effectively and devise and achieve work goals independently.
  • Interact and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Desire to learn

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree with an emphasis on marketing/business administration/information technology. (Or relevant experience)
  • 4+ years of work experience in a web developer role.
