The Talent Acquisition Specialist works with the talent acquisition team to locate and qualify both active and passive candidates for open requisitions.

 

How You'll Contribute

  • Locate and qualify both active and passive candidates for business partners and entry-level positions

  • Identify and maintain a network of industry professionals to enhance our talent outreach efforts for current and future requisitions

  • Source active candidates from online databases

  • Screen candidates for availability, interest level, salary range, and basic qualifications

  • Coordinate interviews, review new applicants for qualifications, and check references

  • Attend job fairs and networking events regularly

  • Review job descriptions with hiring managers and get HR approvals as needed

  • Cold-call to identify passive candidates

  • Submit candidates to hiring managers as directed

  • Posting positions internally and externally as needed

  • Make offers as needed 

What You'll Bring

  • Basic understanding and ability to apply various sourcing and recruiting techniques
  • Basic understanding of the Full Lifecycle Recruitment Process

  • Ability to establish immediate rapport with prospective candidates, creating a candidate-centric relationship

  • Basic understanding of corporate structure and the division(s) the support

  • Exceptional written/verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to influence candidates to complete online application process and interview

  • Basic understanding of handling recruiting objections and ability to close a candidate on the job

  • Ability to make cold calls

  • Strong Internet search skills

  • Capable of managing assigned desk with limited supervision

  • Sets own direction and manages time effectively

  • Capable of working on multiple positions with diverse hiring criteria
  • 2-4 years work experience in recruiting or staffing

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with heavy phone activity

  • Some college coursework
