    The Physician Payment Specialist is primarily responsible for accurate processing of all physician related payment requests which can include but are not limited to processing of physician work records and all reimbursable expenses. Requests are received from multiple sources and must have ability to manage many sources of incoming data. Must be able to handle large workload with varying deadlines. Must provide exceptional customer service to internal divisional customers and exhibit excellent response and follow-up skills.

     

    We’re looking for people who:

    • Reviews and enters accounts payable vouchers into JD Edwards including physician work record information and all reimbursable expenses
    • Ability to follow established process documentation and enter physician adjustments and reimbursements
    • Reviews all vouchers for appropriate signature and account coding
    • Ability to follow established process documentation in coding forms and ensuring they are signed properly
    • Performs batch audits and pays close attention to detail to ensure accurate payment
    • Resolves any discrepancies found during audit
    • Has basic understanding of 1099 requirements and assists with 1099 daily and year end process
    • Assist with monthly 1099 reporting to ensure information is reporting in correct boxes on 1099 at year end
    • Reconciles A/P aging for physician payroll deductions on a monthly basis and makes any necessary adjustments
    • Understands and is familiar with A/P and payroll policies
    • IRS TIN Matching of every new physician
    • Outstanding physician check reconciliation
    • Identifies areas that need improvement and helps develop process improvements
    • Maintain accurate, detailed records in computer system

    Your role.

    • Sets own direction, manages time effectively and meets all established payroll deadlines
    • Is engaged and shows respect for leader, team and CHG
    • Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in written, one on one and group settings
    • Ability to learn and maneuver comfortably through our systems (i.e.; Match Maker, FOX, Bullhorn, Request It!, JDE, JP Morgan Chase Access) as needed
    • Embraces continuous improvement as one of our core values
    • Works well independently, is a strong team player, seeks advice when unsure of self or processes
    • Interaction with team members and other co-workers is courteous and respectful
    • 1+ year(s) experience in Accounts Payable in a high volume environment
    • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    • Strong computer skills, preferably MS Word and Excel knowledge
    • Two-year degree in accounting or equivalent training
    • Knowledge of accounting software
    • Understanding of IRS 1099 requirements
    • Degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
