    This position will assist the division in setting and achieving the division’s goals through the management of the clinical functions within the division. The Nursing Manager will be the lead point of contact for escalated issues related to assessing provider and client clinical competencies and practices, qualification of clinical capacity and scope, and issues related to provider professional conduct and ethics.  The Nursing Manager will adhere to company mission and values while acting as a lead decision maker in establishing whether or not a provider is appropriately qualified for a travel assignment with

    We’re looking for people who:

    • Conduct effective 1:1’s and work closely with Operations Director in identifying growth and development opportunities for direct reports.
    • Oversee ongoing training , coaching, growth and development of new and established employees
    • Create a high level of engagement and retention of clinical team.
    • Recommends appropriate revisions to new and existing policies and procedures to minimize risk
    • Partner with divisional leadership in identifying and establishing best practices for the division
    • Reviews a RN provider’s file when a question of clinical competency or practice or client’s process or procedure arises
    • Reviews RN provider’s documentation, certifications, and work history or skills checklist to determine if traveler is clinically qualified to work
    • Assist in all aspects of the investigation and management of provider credentialing, privileging, and assignment related processes to ensure compliance of company credentialing standards
    • Research questions/problems regarding government regulations, healthcare standards, and other issues related to quality improvement
    • Participates in ongoing monitoring and competency evaluation of our providers
    • Responsible for the oversight of the division’s quality measurement processes
    • When addressing escalated issues, review upcoming traveler files for completeness of documents with liaisons and other departments to clear provider for future assignments
    • Reviews licensure with employees to ensure all providers are appropriately licensed

    Your role.

    • Registered RN
    • Minimum of 8 to 10  years hands-on clinical experience
    • Minimum of 2 years quality improvement and/or health care related risk management/claims management experience
    • Minimum of one year experience drafting written correspondence to professionals such as physicians, attorneys and/or large clients
    • Minimum of 5 - 7 in a management and/or supervisory role
    • Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
    • Management: assists department members to improve performance and meet goals
    • Demonstrates the ability to evaluate clinical competence

    Preferred Skills:

    • Minimum of one year experience with medical service billing (i.e., Medicare/Medicaid)
    • Minimum of one year experience researching government regulations, health care standards, and other issues related to quality improvement/risk management
    • Knowledge of recruitment and placement process in healthcare staffing industry
